Bastet or Bast(Ancient Egyptian:bꜣstjt,Coptic: Ⲟⲩⲃⲁⲥⲧⲉ[2]/ʔuːˈβastə/) was a goddess of ancient Egyptian religion, worshiped as early as the Second Dynasty(2890 BCE). Her name also is rendered as B'sst,Baast,Ubaste, and Baset.[3] In ancient Greek religion, she was known as Ailuros(Koinē Greek: αἴλουρος"cat").

Bastet was worshiped in Bubastis in Lower Egypt, originally as a lioness goddess, a role shared by other deities such asSekhmet. Eventually Bastet and Sekhmet were characterized as two aspects of the same goddess, with Sekhmet representing the powerful warrior and protector aspect and Bastet, who increasingly was depicted as a cat, representing a gentler aspect.[4]

Bastet was originally a fierce lioness warrior goddess of the sun worshiped throughout most of ancient Egyptian history, but later she became Bastet, the cat goddess that is familiar today.[7]She then was depicted as the daughter of Ra and Isis, and the consort of Ptah, with whom she had a son Maahes.[7]

As protector of Lower Egypt, she was seen as defender of the king, and consequently of the sun god,Ra. Along with other deities such as Hathor, Sekhmet, and Isis, Bastet was associated with the Eye of Ra.[8]She has been depicted as fighting the evil snake named Apep, an enemy of Ra.[9]In addition to her solar connections, sometimes she was called "eye of the moon".[10]

Bastet was also a goddess of pregnancy and childbirth, possibly because of the fertility of the domestic cat.[11]

현대 인류는 다시 고양이를 찬양하며, 삶을 연명하고 있습니다.

고양이를 쓰다듬으면서 안정을 취합니다. 위대한 존재를 보는 것 만으로도 힐링 합니다.

우리는 고양이들에게 큰 은혜를 받고 있습니다.

 

이것저것 해결해주려 하는 마음들도 너무 너무 감사한 일이지만,

나의 마음을 가장 잔잔하게 하는 건, 별것 없이 이 꼬수운 털의 촉감이다

....

모든 것을 챙겨주거나 해결해주려는 것이 아니라,

그냥 묵묵히 곁을 지켜주는 것이 최고의 돌봄의 자세이며,

그게 패싱 케어라는 것

....

힘든 사람이 있다면, 

가장 하기 쉬운 일이 첨언하는 것이고

옆에서 묵묵하게 있어 주는 패싱 케어, 

그것이 가장 힘든 일이다.

나는 그 패싱 케어를 매일 받고 있는 듯하다.

지금, 나는 글을 쓰며

옆에서 새근새근 자고 있는 고양이의 털을 쓰다듬고 있다.

나의 곁에 계속 묵묵하게 있어 줘.
